Aqualizer download

On this page, you can download the Aqualizer, a computer program that can be used in order to filter sound. In fact it is a digital equalizer. Our research was about how we could change this existing equalizer into an even better sound filter, which became the Aqualizer.

You can download the latest version of the Aqualizer, the source code and the user manual here (version 1.1 for Windows).

In the installer package, you can choose which components you want to install. The download package contains:

• The Aqualizer (VST plugin);
• The source code;
• The user manual in English and in Dutch;
• The license agreement.

People who want to download the source code for use on other OS's can download the zip package here. If you wish to use the GUI (Grafical User Interface) of the Aqualizer as well, you can download the resource files here.

You can find details about how to install the Aqualizer in the instruction manual which the download package includes. We strongly recommend reading trough this manual first, since the Aqualizer contains a number of functions you probably never worked with before.

Before you start working with the Aqualizer, we feel obliged to say the Aqualizer can by no means work solely: it always needs a hosting program to work in. There are a lot of programs that can actually do this, but most of them are rather expensive computer programs. However, you can find an example of a free host here: it is called VSTHost, made by Hermann Seib. Read the instruction manual for more details.

Furthermore, we put the source code of the Aqualizer to anybody's disposal, so that everybody can learn from it and freely change and/or improve it. The source code is included in the download.
